A very good game pity about the atrocious loading times... plus can't use my G25 wheel.
Having tested the physics on GT Academy demo, I bet on GT5 it will be the main talking point.. also noticed on the demo that it very much favors a steering wheel set-up because compared to Prologue the reaction and sensitivity of the wheel is way more pronounced and very effective.
Great graphics, but I think it's the story that will really make or break this game add to that the intuitiveness of the control pad set-up.
A very good game indeed loads of fun, but come March next year I tell you things will change.
In the physics menu photo just below the "new physics" it reads *overturning of cars.. hhmmm what does that mean?, overturning literally speaking of the steering wheel or overturning as in about to crash or both?
Because I know all cars have very differing turning circles, from production to race or rallye cars, so could it mean you can manipulate the car's steering angle in the option menu when the full game finally comes out?
I do hope with the more than 20 loca...
..I'm coming back baby!
Uncharted 2 is undoubtedly the most progressive game of this decade.
1. GranTurismo 5 - with GT5 Academy out, I think the undeniable difference of the cars' physics with previous iteration will be the no.1 topic besides damage-mode capability.
2. Heavy Rain - do hope the gameplay and the story plots don't disappoint.
3. God of War 3 - don't confuse with Gears of War ( GoW ) which is also an awesome game.
I actually heard it on the news that it's only now they're selling the PS2 over in Brazil?, is this true?
They have lost the plot honestly.. this franchise has gotten to the lowest of depths.
Not in this world will Turn10/Forza ever win the graphics war with Sony Polyphony/GranTurismo.
I mean never.
They can surely hype it with whatever colour they want but even the non-gamers' will tell you GranTurismo is the better of the two..
..and especially at texturing the interior ( cabin ) graphics, got both Forza 3 and GranTurismo 5 sampler on full high-def and you can clearly see the difference with GT5 and even previous Prologue the cabin is colour-coded c...
I'm just gonna say when the real GT5 comes out it'll the pits for the competition.
I do believe the reason they'ved reduced the polygon count for this sampler is for us gamers' to download it way more quickly.. so it's a good compromise.
Yes GranTurismo 5 will be a totally different animal indeed.
Am very optimistic it will top the charts with it's physics simulation and expected damage-mode capability..
..do hope there would be more surprises.. hhmmm like maybe weather effects and DLC please?
Keyword is subtleness with the controls, between the 2 cars featured the tuned version 370Z is the easier to handle and manoeuvre.
Noticed the street version 370Z is just way too sensitive in the track that makes it go off even when there are slight irregularities with the race course.
Less is more.
Can't put the links or I might be banished from N4G...
I think with the GT Academy sampler now out, it's still pretty hard to actually make an honest opinion concerning the physics simulation of both cars presented because of the limited tuning option ability that was given for this game/demo/sampler etc..
..hope that with the full version GranTurismo 5 won't be slippery and too sensitive with the steering and braking as sampler GT Academy.
I know of a website where there are tons of this stuff and way so much better and revealing..
I think the physics on this GT Academy is a bit too sensitive and quite frustrating especially when using the street version Nissan 370Z car.. although have to say in defense that this version has a very limited option when it comes to tuning both cars in the option menu.
Comparing a full game with a sampler really is quite baseless and irrelevant.
One word - subtle.
Since the steering and brake can't be tuned, best be early with the brakes and be gentle when turning that's what I noticed.
Tuned Z-car is actually more easier to "man"handle than normal version.
I still wish it was the Subaru WRC trial demo with damage-mode capability that was handed over for download...
Don't go posting if you're not into this type genre..
.. first week of January's done and March is almost upon us.
